Wooshping secures new client Crisis to develop their customer loyalty scheme

Leading homeless charity unveils unique mobile loyalty programme at the re-launch of its flagship London Cafe

Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people, has teamed up with mobile engagement specialists Wooshping to provide a new loyalty scheme for customers at its high profile and popular café in East London.

Crisis supporters are given a loyalty fob to put on their key ring. Cafe customers then simply tab the fob against a tablet in the cafe to instantly clock up loyalty points and redeem vouchers for free drinks. Customers can also scan a code on their fob at any time to see their real time points total on their mobile phone and a link to the café’s daily menu.

This important new service was created using Wooshping's INSTANT platform. This provides a full end-to-end loyalty system, allowing customers to track and redeem points and vouchers as well as providing key real time data and management information to the Crisis cafe staff and the wider Crisis organisation. 

The Crisis London Cafe was recently re-launched after a complete renovation to mark its 10th anniversary. The event acted as a great opportunity to celebrate the new menu and contemporary feel of the café whilst also seeing the launch of the loyalty scheme. Since opening in 2004, the café has helped more than 200 homeless people and ex-offenders into paid employment through its trainee scheme. Former trainees have gone on to work at well-known restaurants including River Cottage, Pret a Manger and Leon.
