Wooshping announced as a finalist in 2 categories of the Contactless and Mobile Awards 2014

Wooshping is delighted to reveal that it has been announced as a finalist in 2 categories of the Contactless And Mobile Awards 2014.

The 2 projects through to the finals of the awards were both delivered with Nokia in the UK. Each project offering a specific and targeted solution to meet a specific business need.


Loyalty Category finalist - Tap for Tunes

22,000 Silicone wristbands were distributed to staff across the whole mobile phone industry retail sector. The call to action was simple. “Tap for Tunes”.

Users of Nokia Lumia devices who tapped the wristband were treated to a special music mix developed just for this campaign, whilst Android and Blackberry users were offered a Special Lumia sponsored music playlist which highlighted the benefits of the Lumia device, and the MixRadio service.

Part-way through the campaign, utilising Wooshping’s INSTANT platform, Nokia requested we introduce a 1 question NPS questionnaire. Upon tapping staff were asked to rate the Lumia 925 on a scale of 1 to 10. They only saw the question once.

The results were hugely insightful, not just from the perspective of the NPS for the device, but it also gave Nokia a clear view on the typical usage device split in the retail channels, but also if the NPS skewed by current device type.

Marketing Category finalist - Smart Appvent Calendar

1500 NFC enabled Appvent calendars were distributed to mobile phone retail stores across the UK. Each day the recipient could open the window of the calendar, receive a chocolate treat, and see which app was represented by that day. To receive the app to their phone they simply tapped on the calendar NFC point and they were delivered to that app in the Windows Marketplace.
